The Summit – Who was missing?

Friday, February 26th, 2010

Me. Das Who…as Scarface would say.  I was happy to see the President show some balls and try to discuss every GOP objection so that it could be acknowledged and determine if it made sense.  He called the 2400 page bill a prop.  And it was. Eric Cantor is an asshole. I am so happy that I am paying him 100,000 dollars per year so that I can a watch a grown, college educated man count to 2400.  I really feel like my tax dollars are being put to work wisely (sarcastic voice).

I know that they are supposed to be the voice of the people.  But lately that has been such a false presumption.  Obama tried to make some points about the average income of everyday workers like me, but Lamar Alexander could give a shit.  In fact, the news of the day is that Jim Bunning of Kentucky is a total dick.  Unemployment benefits will not go out to 1.2 million people because of his objection to where the funds were coming from AND he had the chutzpah to complain about missing a basketball game because of having to take care of Senate business.

Hey Jim, Fuck you!  You should be impeached you lousy cock sucker.

This economy is killing me man.  The news is always conflicting.  Durable goods orders are up 3% but so are jobless claims.  Until we get the jobs going again, the market is going to remain volatile and frozen. It is a total trader’s market.  In an environment like this volatility is going to make following this daily a long term investor’s nightmare and opportunity because on days where equities dip you can reduce your cost average.  Then, if the real economy picks up small caps are usually the first to move in the market.  You can make some good bank.

The interesting thing is Project Mayhem happened.  Instead of having to blow up the credit card buildings, the credit markets froze on their own thanks to deregulation and bad financial instruments.  So we are all starting over.  Believe it or not this provides for great investment opportunities (you have to be working of course, not so easy these days).  And we need health reform.  Obama is having his summit today.  I saw Anthony Weiner the Rep from NY show some balls yesterday and call the Repubs subsidiaries of the insurance industry.  Well like Tyler says, we are pissed off!  Tired of companies getting more preference than us.  While business is important in the times that we live in, people are more important.  We are out of balance in our priorities.  We will probably be struggling for a few more years.  But lets overcome this energy challenge.  We actually have a real purpose now.  I don’t feel the need anymore to punch some dude in the face.  I want to punch Oil in the face.  Ween off of it, heal our addiction, stop funding those that want to hurt us.  Call it Project Independence.  The first rule of Project Independence is that you do not talk about Project Independence.

My interests for the long term are energy, technology, and banks.  Energy is the biggest challenge my generation has ever faced.  Finally! My generation actually has something real to face.  Not just some bullshit, whiney lifestyle obsessed cultural crap anymore.  In order to keep moving forward my generation will have to face the energy issue.  Only with the combination of technology and alternatives will we accomplish this task.  I would like to see more of my generation talking about these challenges and how the world, with globalization will conquer that as well.  That is why I like Natural Gas and I am thinking about adding to my position in an OTC stock.  PTOS.OB.  They are a solar company that is trying to work out a deal with India.  India has over a billion people and they need cheap energy.  This could be a good emerging market play that could yield big results.  I will keep you posted.

If You’re Gonna Bump it, Bump it with a Trumpet…

For my birthday when I was little, my mother took me to see Gypsy with Tyne Daly.  That was the year she won the Tony for that performance and I was privy to seeing one of the best stage performances I have ever seen in my life.  But one of the great lessons I learned from watching that show was that if you were going to do something in life and separate yourself from others is that “you gotta have a gimmick.”  On February 25 Barack Obama is going to have a health care summit with the Neo-Fascist party and the Pussy party.  In order to have a successful meeting and maybe pass health care reform I think he should do something more then just come out on a podium.  Maybe he should come out while playing a guitar or with Bob Dylan playing a guitar.  Maybe he should sing his healthcare proposal?  Maybe he should write the proposal in iambic pentameter while a dude in green tights plays a lyre?  I am looking for some ideas to pass on to the President.  If anybody has any ideas, feel free to comment.

Financial

Home Depot’s quarterly profit beat the street today but their Top line growth did not.  This will probably put investors on edge because while profits are good, a reduction in Top Line shows no signs of growth.  However, economists are reporting that positive growth has returned.  Eventually, jobs should follow as long as we create new industry.  Which I am pretty certain we will.  Therefore, I still feel US stocks are cheap.  The buying opportunities are definitely there.  Even though the market is currently selling at about 20 times earnings, there are certain companies that with a stronger recovery should grow a lot faster.  Those are the ones to buy, and the ones with some bad debt because they become attractive acquisitions.

Tiger Tiger Woods Y’all

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Can we be honest about Tiger Woods?  Tiger Woods is a kid.  When he won his first major, he was a kid.  And as he started to make millions upon millions of dollars I guess he made a decision that marriage and children would be the next logical step.  But he forgot that he liked young pussy.  And what is better than young 20 something waitresses and strippers? I mean they are easy to meet, because everywhere you go, they are there.  And at some point he must of realized how easy it would be to come on to these girls.  I imagine it going something like this:

Tiger: Hi I’m Tiger Woods.  Wanna fuck?

Waitress/Stripper/Porn Star: Okay, that sounds like a reasonable proposition.  Yeah lets do that.

And that was it.  Let the sexcapades begin.  In fact if you think about it the smart thing for a famous person like that would have been to be bangin’ these women for a long time until he decided that he was over that kind of relationship and wanted something more.  Who knows, maybe he would have realized that he didn’t want something more.  The last time I checked playing golf, making tons of money, and banging hot young vagina was every American Man’s dream.  I mean you could even call that American Heaven.  I know in the muslim world its 72 virgins but in America its Augusta, endless money, and a sexy 23 year old with a great rack.  This may sound shallow and immature, but most men are shallow and immature.  And it turns out Tiger falls into that category.  Don’t hate him for it.  It’s really quite typical.

Now That’s What I’m Talking About…

The Obama Economic Plan

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

I was watching Hardball last night and they had Obama’s Chief Economist on the show and he pretty much laid out their plans for economic growth.  Chris Matthews went off screaming about Roosevelt and putting people to work to build high speed rail across the country like Europe etc.  And the Chief Economist said “that’s where we differ”.  The Administration wants to plant seeds by lending money to the private sector to grow their businesses and create a green economy.  That is why when you look at companies around the country like Quantum Fuel Systems, Tesla Motors, Clean Energy etc. you will notice that all of them having been receiving grants and loans from the Department of Energy to keep their businesses moving forward.

Therefore you can’t call Obama a Socialist really. While he is using government funding to support energy independence.  He is giving the money to the private sector.  The upside is that capitalism will be saved! for all you Tea Party assholes out there.  The downside is that the private sector is not moving as quickly as this country would like and therefore unemployment should remain pretty high for the next two years.  So strap in America! It’s gonna be a bumpy ride…

RAD jumped another 13 percent today.  I am looking forward to the March quarterly report.  I am also looking at QTWW currently selling for .82 Cents.

Joseph Biden

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

You know in 2006 I said he would be the Democratic candidate for President.  I was wrong but I turned out to be right.  You’ll notice that he has been the one to garner a lot of attention lately.  The truth is the pundits (who I hate) love to criticize Biden for his verbal gaffes but now he is coming on as the strength in this administration.  He is defending the stimulus plan, he is the one bringing credence to foreign policy and reminding people of the truth.  Biden is tough and I respect him as a man and as a Senator.  Being the VP has actually taken away many powers he used to have.  However, in turbulent times like these, he can be the stable voice.  The reminder of where we were and where we need to go and I think the American public WILL listen to him.  I was watching Bill Maher on Larry King Live last night and he was talking about how people can sense strength.  And how they will respect you if you take a stance and fight for it even if it is wrong because at least you took a stance.  I think Biden’s ideas are right and he is a fighter.  He will be the voice of reason amongst all the bullshit.

Finance

Walgreen’s bought Duane Reade today.  That shot my RAD up 6 percent today.  The heavy Options interest for RAD calls are at a price of 2.50.  If it goes there I might just take the  profits and move on.  I am sick of dealing with this stock and I want to focus my money on energy and technology because those will be the two major forces that will shape America’s future economically and its place in the world.

Evan Bayh

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

Evan Bayh is tired of Congress.  The AP was writing that he is a moderate democrat who was known as someone who wanted to get things done but has given up trying to deal with Washington.  Well in the streets we have a word for Evan Bayh.  Pussy.  Evan Bayh is a pussy.   At least our President said “I don’t quit” and I came to Washington to “fight for these principles”.  Evan Bayh has given up the fight.  Well he can go fuck himself.

Financial

The market was up today.  Most of my stocks were up but are of course still lower than I’d like them to be due to this awful economy.  Whats worse is I can’t get my money shows due to the fucking Olympics.  I’m so glad I get to miss Mad Money so that CNBC can show Women’s Hockey and Moguls…I thought Moguls were rich people! Oh well…

Dude, Where’s My Economy?

Friday, February 12th, 2010

China tightened their bank reserves today and the market dropped 1.5 percent.  You know what I say to that? What the fuck!? Thats what I say! The Euro is dropping, the dollar is strengthening.  Remember when that was a good thing?  Why don’t we stop worrying about China and start building up businesses here? You know for most of America’s history it was an isolationist economy.  And it flourished! Because our country is so rich in natural resources that we didn’t have to worry about food, water, and land.

Thanks to amazing advances in Technology America could move forward again and go energy independent.  If we did, then billions of dollars would stop going to other countries and we could reinvest the money back into our infrastructure, schools, and  hospitals.  I say may the dollar get stronger! Fuck the EU! Fuck China! Globalization can kiss my red white and blue ass!
